Main Duties:
- Preparation of Transport Assessments and Transport Statements
- Preparation of Travel Plans and Travel Plan Coordination
- Preparation and presentation of technical data and drawings
- Undertaking junction capacity assessments using ARCADY, PICADY and LINSIG
- Liaison with clients, contractors, and local/national authorities as required
- Ensuring that all tasks are delivered on-time and to budget
- Checking the quality and accuracy of work produced by junior team members
- Working collaboratively with the team and supporting junior staff in developing their technical knowledge
- Supporting Team Leaders in delivering comprehensive advice to clients on Highways & Transport matters, from feasibility work to project implementation
- Undertaking site appraisals/visits, designing surveys, and providing input to written reports and presentational material
- Ensuring that all electronic and paper files on projects are kept up-to-date
- Assisting with other related tasks as required by your Team Leader
- Playing an active role in growing and establishing the Birmingham Office
Job Requirements:
Education/Experience:
- Degree in an applicable subject such as Transport Planning, Geography, or Civil Engineering
- Experience with UK Transport Planning standards and processes
- Membership of the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (MCIHT) is desirable
Technical Skills:
- Advanced use of Microsoft Office software packages
- Good levels of numeracy, including a solid understanding of spreadsheets
- Use of AutoCAD (desirable)
- Working experience or understanding of ARCADY, PICADY and LINSIG

- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to clearly communicate findings from complex data
- Ability to work easily and accurately with numbers
