Senior Transport Coordinator

Paying up to £30,000 per year.

Full-time, 7:00am 4:00pm or 8:00am 5:00pm (Flexibility Available).

Based in Birmingham (B8).

We are working with a Birmingham-based Transport and Haulage organisation who are seeking a Transport Coordinator to join their team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting both internal and external stakeholders in providing an efficient service whilst maintaining excellent client service.

We are seeking a candidate with previous experience working in a Transport office. Experience in the Pallet Network is essential to this role. The successful candidate will need to be confident and comfortable dealing with drivers.

Key Responsibilities:

Answer all incoming queries via multiple methods of communication (internal messaging system, telephone and email) promptly and efficiently.

Liaising internally with the warehouse, customer service teams and drivers to ensure efficient streams of communication.

Updating of systems, reports and Excel spreadsheets.

Monitoring driver performance and completing driver debriefs.

General administration tasks and duties as and when required.

Review and update processes to ensure all colleagues are cross-trained.

The successful candidate will have prior experience of working in a fast-paced Pallet Network environment, who also has attention to detail with the ability to react to a dynamic environment.

This is a temp to perm position, with immediate start available. However, our client is willing to consider a straight permanent start for those candidates in current roles.
