Tudor Employment Agency are currently recruiting for a Transport Planner to work for our prestigious client based in Saltley, Birmingham.

Duties will include:

  • Develop and manage transport schedules and routes to optimize efficiency, cost, and time
  • Use transport planning software to determine the most efficient routes
  • Adjust routes and plans based on traffic, weather, or other unforeseen conditions
  • Analyze transport data, including costs, efficiency, fuel usage, and environmental impact
  • Provide regular reports on transport performance, including KPIs like on-time delivery, cost per trip, and fuel efficiency
  • Collaborate with drivers, warehouse teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth transportation operations
  • Liaise with local authorities or regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with transportation laws and safety regulations

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience within a Transport Department role for at least 2 years

Key Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis
  • Good knowledge of traffic management, vehicle routing, and transportation regulations
  • Proficient in transportation management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Understanding of environmental impact and sustainable transport practices.

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday – 4am – 1pm / 12pm – 9pm on a rotation basis

Salary: £27,000 - £34,000 per annum
