Senior Front End Developer - £50K - £55K

Birmingham based - 2 days per week onsite

React, JavaScript CSS, HTML. Shopify (Any UX / UI is a bonus)

This brand new role as a Senior Front End Developer will join a team of Engineers and be a key player in the development of the ecommerce platforms and digital transformation programmes.You'll have the opportunity to work with the latest cutting-edge technologies, driving our mission to empower learners to redefine their careers.Working within a small, agile team, you will help lead the development of a new e-commerce website and an exciting new platform. Your responsibilities will include developing and enhancing the user interface of these platforms, leveraging your expertise to select the most appropriate tools and technologies to support our technology roadmap.

Experience & Tech needed:

? 4+ years of professional experience developing responsive, accessible web applications.? Expertise in modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, along with proficiency in TypeScript.? Strong command of HTML, CSS/SCSS, and stong familiarity with UI/UX design principles.? Experience building and maintaining reusable components, adhering to best-practice coding standards.? Proven track record of problem-solving and innovation in web development.? Knowledge of API development and consumption, with experience in integrating third-party services.? Familiarity with Shopify.? Familiarity with monorepo development environments (Nx, Turbo).? Proficiency with package managers (Yarn/NPM), task runners (Vite, ESBuild), and design tools (Figma).? Understanding of JAM Stack architecture, headless CMS systems (e.g., Sanity.io) search solutions (e.g. Algolia), and CI/CD workflows (Github Actions).? Ability to implement front-end testing strategies (UI, E2E, Unit, Integration) and optimise website performance.? Passion for continuous learning and staying updated on the latest development best practices.
