The Client

The Role

Our client is currently recruiting for an experienced utility surveyor and the role would involve carrying out surveys at sites throughout the UK and beyond.

  • Conducting utility surveys using modern survey methods and devices
  • Resolving any unexpected site issues and seeking help from the team and management when required
  • Accurately recording surveying information on-site to the agreed specification and scope
  • Building and maintaining client relationships and ensuring that we deliver to our client's expectations
  • Assisting with detailed field and office surveying assignments
  • Checking the quality of information collected on site and ensuring a successful transition to deliverables
  • Mentoring and training junior surveying staff as required
  • Delivering to company policies, procedures, standards, and best practices
  • Carrying out any other duties as required by the business

Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • 2 years of experience in the utility surveying industry with a strong understanding of PAS 126 standards
  • Strong understanding of using total stations, GNSS receivers, and utility markers
  • Proficient in the creation of written survey reports, permits to dig, manhole, and inspection chamber record cards in accordance with PAS128
  • Excellent communication skills and experience dealing with clients
  • Flexibility to work away from home for periods and accommodate various shift patterns when required (such as night shift etc)
  • A full UK driving license
  • The right to work in the UK
