Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing and repairing various types of machinery and vehicles. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of machinery and vehicles to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, and tyre rotations.
- Diagnose mechanical problems using diagnostic equipment and tools.
- Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks while adhering to safety standards.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technologies to improve repair techniques.
Skills
- Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills for liaising with colleagues and clients.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in mechanics or automotive technology are advantageous.
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential for motivated candidates willing to learn.
