Motor Vehicle Technician

Manpower are currently recruiting for a Motor Vehicle Technician for our client who is UK's leading vehicle rental specialists. Their branches cover the UK, Ireland and Spain, their workshops maintain and repair their own fleet.

As a Motor Vehicle Technician you'll spend most of your time in the workshop maintaining vehicles to the high standards set out in within our clients Health and Safety policy. It involves carrying out inspections, repairs and services, checking vehicles against VOSA legislation, and handling and storing parts.

You'll also need to make sure all necessary paperwork is accurate and up to date. This means you'll need good communication skills and a good grasp of IT. You'll also be flexible enough to work some Saturdays on a rota basis.

With NVQ/BTEC or City and Guilds Motor Vehicle Service and Repair level 3 qualifications or equivalent, you'll also have experience working as a fully qualified mechanic, ideally with commercial vehicles. You'll be the kind of person who feels at home in a busy workshop.

A full driving licence is important too. An HGV licence and some experience in a vehicle fleet/rental company would also be useful.

This is a permanent position paying a basic salary of 36k per annum plus bonus and overtime
