Job Description: Warehouse Operative

Location: OldburyPay Rate: £13.50 per hourEmployment Type: Temp to PermWorking Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm (1-hour lunch break)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pick & Pack: Efficiently pick and pack items for orders.
  • Stock Management: Replenish stock on shelves when locations are low or empty.
  • Incoming Shipments: Assist with receiving and processing incoming shipments.
  • Stock Movements: Use Opera software to manage stock movements, raise purchase orders, etc.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate Forklift Truck (FLT) and Scissor Lift safely.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organised warehouse environment.
  • Loading/Unloading: Assist with loading and unloading of goods.
  • Discrepancy Management: Help resolve any stock discrepancies.
  • Stock Take: Participate in regular stock takes.
  • Health & Safety: Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
  • Company Policies: Follow all company rules and procedures.
  • Deliveries: Make deliveries as required.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a warehouse environment preferred.
  • Ideally, experience in the metal industry.
  • Ability to operate FLT and Scissor Lift (certification may be required).
  • Familiarity with Opera software or similar inventory management systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good physical condition, as the role involves manual handling.
