About Us

We are an analytical laboratory based in New Zealand, who specialise in all aspects of asbestos testing. We have been established for over 30 years and are well renowned within the industry.

Purpose of the Position

The primary focus of this role is to conduct asbestos analysis and perform related laboratory activities to support our commitment to quality service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyse samples, including bulk analysis (and air analysis if trained).
  • Conduct general lab maintenance, including pump maintenance and calibrations.
  • Prepare and dispatch field kits to clients, maintaining inventory and calibration records.
  • Document daily activities accurately to ensure comprehensive training records.
  • Prepare field kits and visit commercial sites for on-site air testing and pump setup.
  • Collaborate with CES staff, including Laboratory Managers and Assessors, to fulfill client asbestos project requirements.
  • Build positive interactions with asbestos-related industry personnel, external agencies, and the general public via in-person, phone, and email communication.

Candidate Requirements

  • P401 is essential
  • A minimum of 2 years experience working within an Asbestos Laboratory
  • P403 & P404 would be a distinct advantage
