We are currently seeking an experienced TIG Welder and Fabricator, offering a long-term temp to perm position in South Birmingham. A successful applicant will be dedicated to delivering precision, excellence and open to learning new techniques.

This role is for a temporary to permanent position. The Welder/Fabricator must be experienced in working with Stainless steel with gauges between 1mm 5mm, the role will pay a starting rate of £14.42 per hour for the right candidate.



Responsibilities:

- Performing TIG welding on stainless steel to a high standard.


- Preparing materials and workspace ahead of welding.


- Quality inspection of completed welds.


- Adhering to safety standards, including correct use of full PPE.


- Conduct repairs and modifications to welding work.


- Work closely with other team members to coordinate production schedules and meet deadlines.


- Maintain accurate records of production activities and materials used, as well as reporting of deficient material or equipment.



Requirements:


- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a TIG welder in a fabrication environment.


- Proficiency in reading and working from welding diagrams.


- Strong understanding of working with between 1mm 5mm, and exposure to larger 10mm gauges is also preferable.


- Significant exposure to working with Stainless Steel is essential, exposure to aluminium would also be advantageous.


- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.


- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.


- Good communication and teamwork skills.
