We are seeking an experienced MIG Welder/Fabricator for a reputable engineering company in Birmingham that specializes in architectural products for construction.
The role involves MIG welding and fabrication of items such as balustrades, handrails, and stairways, while working with mild steel and reading engineering drawings.
Candidates must have at least 3 years of MIG welding and fabrication experience, preferably with architectural products, and the ability to work to high standards and deadlines.
The position offers a starting rate of £13 to £15.00 per hour, with a 12-week temporary to permanent contract.
Working hours are Monday to Thursday from 07:30 am to 4:30 pm and Friday from 07:30 am to 01:30 pm, with on-site staff parking available.

The Job Role

Fabrication reading from engineering drawings
Wokring with mild steel
Manufacturing bespoke sheet metal products

Experience/Requirements

3+ years MIG welding/fabrication ideally with architectural products
Ability to read engineering drawings
Work to high standard keeping within deadlines
To be able to work as part of a team
Ability to work with mild steel

The Package

£14 per hour starting rate.
12 week temporary to permanent contract.
Working days, 07:00 - 15:00
On site staff parking.
