We are currently seeking a Plumber to join a well-established team, covering care homes, supported living, and independent living properties across Birmingham postcodes. This role is perfect for someone looking for job security, steady hours, and a great work-life balance.

Responsibilities of the Plumber

  • Carrying out a mix of reactive and planned plumbing maintenance across a variety of homes for older people including:
    • Installing radiators and valves
    • Changing taps and mixer showers
    • Replacing leaking pipe work and isolation valves
    • Topping up pressure on boilers
    • Changing toilets, sinks & shower trays
    • Replacing auto air vents
    • Replacing shower drain pumps
    • Clearing waste blockages
  • Utilising a tablet to receive and complete jobs
  • Completing other minor repairs beyond plumbing, including tightening fixtures, changing lightbulbs and repairing door handles

Requirements of the Plumber:

  • Plumbing experience in residential or social housing settings
  • Comfortable in a customer-facing role, working with elderly residents
  • Ability to handle minor repairs beyond plumbing
  • NVQ level 2 in Plumbing & Heating
