We are currently seeking a Plumber to join a well-established team, covering care homes, supported living, and independent living properties across Birmingham postcodes. This role is perfect for someone looking for job security, steady hours, and a great work-life balance.
Responsibilities of the Plumber
- Carrying out a mix of reactive and planned plumbing maintenance across a variety of homes for older people including:
- Installing radiators and valves
- Changing taps and mixer showers
- Replacing leaking pipe work and isolation valves
- Topping up pressure on boilers
- Changing toilets, sinks & shower trays
- Replacing auto air vents
- Replacing shower drain pumps
- Clearing waste blockages
- Utilising a tablet to receive and complete jobs
- Completing other minor repairs beyond plumbing, including tightening fixtures, changing lightbulbs and repairing door handles
Requirements of the Plumber:
- Plumbing experience in residential or social housing settings
- Comfortable in a customer-facing role, working with elderly residents
- Ability to handle minor repairs beyond plumbing
- NVQ level 2 in Plumbing & Heating
