Welder/Fabricator | Nechells | Full Time – Monday to Friday 7:20am-5:30pm and Saturdays as required 7am-12pm | £16 per hour and authorised O/T x 1.5 £24 per hour (when required)

Are you the right person for the job?

  • Proven experience as a competent welder/fabricator
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team
  • Willingness to work from technical drawings when necessary
  • Strong communication skills to report both positive and negative findings to supervisors

What will your role look like?

  • Work with MIG, TIG, and ARC welders to perform high-quality repairs and fabrications
  • Utilise gas cutting tools for repairs and fabrication tasks
  • Collaborate closely with your maintenance supervisor/manager to receive task instructions and report findings
  • Engage in the repair and fabrication of bins, skips, and roll-on roll-off (Roro) bins
  • Repair and maintain heavy machinery, including 360 excavators and forklifts, as well as the main scrap shredder
  • Occasionally work outside standard hours as part of a maintenance team during major breakdowns to ensure operational continuity
