Contract Electro-Fusion Welder - Water Treatment Plant (Birmingham)

Location: Birmingham, UK
Contract Type: Temporary/Contract
Rate: 26ph

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electro-Fusion Welder to join a prominent project on a water treatment plant in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the successful completion of a major infrastructure project while working with a dedicated and experienced team.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality electro-fusion welding on HDPE and other plastic pipework for water treatment systems.

  • Ensure all welding is completed in compliance with health and safety regulations.

  • Maintain and operate welding equipment to the highest standards.

  • Read and interpret technical drawings to ensure precise welds and fittings.

  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure the smooth running of the project.

  • Conduct quality control checks and resolve any issues that arise during welding.



Skills & Experience:

  • Valid Electro-Fusion Welding Certification (or equivalent).

  • Proven experience in electro-fusion welding, particularly within the water or utilities sector.

  • Experience with HDPE pipework in a live plant environment is preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of relevant safety regulations and standards.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Previous experience working in water treatment plants is desirable but not essential.

  • Full PPE and relevant safety certifications required.
