Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting a Sourcing/Commodity Buyer a 6 Month Contract based in West Midlands.
This position is INSIDE IR35
Hybrid working acceptable - 3 days per week in the West Midlands.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Support the IND Team in identifying, selecting, and negotiating with suppliers to secure the most competitive offers.
Ensure all active suppliers are approved and compliant with Supplier Connect and Complyworks.
Enforce supplier strategy and Sourcing policies, including the management and optimization of supplier panels.
Lead negotiations and allocate needs to specific suppliers.
Support budget planning and deliver Sourcing deflation and payment targets.
Negotiate terms and conditions.
Manage commercial sourcing, including data analysis and negotiation support.
Support the IND Team in resolving supplier issues and any related Sourcing execution challenges.
Ensure invoices are released in accordance with established processes.
Job Level:
This role is likely to be an individual contributor, requiring proven interpersonal skills. The individual will provide informal guidance to new team members and explain complex information in straightforward situations.
Impact:
This role impacts projects, processes, and procedures within their field. The individual operates with some autonomy, focusing on executing activities and providing advice within a defined discipline governed by standard functional practices and procedures. Activities require professional judgment but may require guidance from more senior levels.
Skills and Expertise:
This role utilizes technical expertise and judgment to solve problems. It leverages technical skills and analytical thinking to resolve issues. The individual may use multiple internal sources outside their team to make decisions.
Required Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in procurement or Sourcing functions, preferably Indirect.
CIPS certification or working towards certification.
Desired Characteristics:
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
Established project management skills.
