SRM are delighted to have partnered with a hospitality business, based in Bishop's Stortford, to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant on a 14-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the finance team by assisting with month-end reporting, financial reconciliations, cash flow management, and more. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take on more responsibility in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing Board packs for month-end, annual budgets, and quarterly forecasts.

  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations.

  • Monitor and maintain weekly cash flow forecasts.

  • Manage prepayments, accruals, and depreciation.

  • Bank reconciliations.

  • Handle monthly inter-company recharges.

  • Produce and distribute weekly flash reports.

  • Assist with invoice processing.

  • Issue weekly and monthly reports to the Operations Team.

  • Assist the Financial Controller and Finance Manager with ad hoc tasks, reports, and the implementation of a new accounting system.

Requirements:

  • Part-qualified CIMA/ACCA.

  • Proficient in Xero

  • 3+ years accounts experience

  • Previous experience within the retail or hospitality sector is desirable
