Electrical Estimator Position Overview

The Electrical Estimator will play a crucial role in the project development process by preparing accurate and competitive estimates for electrical works related to office fitout projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical estimation, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with project managers, contractors, and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Estimate Preparation: Prepare detailed and accurate electrical estimates for office fitout projects averaging around £300k to £500k, with some projects up to £2 million.
  • Cost Analysis: Conduct thorough cost analysis and risk assessments to ensure estimates are competitive and reflect true project costs.
  • Documentation: Compile and present detailed proposals, including all necessary documentation, for submission to clients.
  • Vendor Relations: Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes and ensure accurate pricing for materials and labour.
  • Client Interaction: Work closely with clients to understand their requirements and provide expert advice on electrical systems and cost-effective solutions.


Electrical Estimator Position Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Electrical Estimator, preferably within the office fitout sector.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in estimation software
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Organisation: Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
