Mane are looking for an experienced Contracts Engineer to joint their client, a leading M&E contractor in their Bishop's Stortford office.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- City & Guilds in Electrical Installation / NVQ Level 3
- City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing certification
- Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS)
- Several years of experience as a Site Supervisor
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee all projects within assigned supervision
- Deliver projects within established budget constraints
- Ensure continuous customer and client satisfaction
- Manage daily allocation of labour, materials, and equipment to optimize efficiency
- Ensure all work meets required standards
MAIN TASKS:
- Consistently execute projects in alignment with the defined scope of work
- Maintain regular communication with site project management and attend meetings as needed
- Prepare risk assessments and method statements before work begins
- Conduct regular reviews of labor and resources with the Contracts Manager
- Coordinate regularly with the Site Supervisor regarding workload and labor needs
- Monitor the quality of installations consistently
- Oversee on-site safety standards and report on housekeeping practices
- Manage daily operations of on-site staff, subcontractors, and apprentices
- Schedule tasks to maximize workforce productivity
- Ensure all personnel are qualified for their assigned duties
- Communicate any training needs to the Contracts Manager
- Ensure all activities align with CMS requirements
- Continuously seek to enhance service quality for clients by recommending improvements to current systems
- Take responsibility for personal health, safety, and environmental impact
