I am actively seeking for a talented and motivated Graduate Structural Engineer to join a successful and busy Multidisciplinary Structural Engineering Consultancy in Bishop's Stortford. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career in a supportive, collaborative environment while working on a variety of complex and rewarding projects.

Key Responsibilities for this Graduate Structural Engineer include:

  • Assist in the design and analysis of structural systems for a range of building types, from residential to commercial.
  • Work closely with senior engineers to ensure the successful completion of projects, from concept to delivery.
  • Produce and review design calculations, drawings, and specifications.
  • Perform site visits to monitor progress and provide technical support.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines, clients, and contractors to achieve project goals.
  • Assist in preparing reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative solutions and strategies for structural challenges.

Qualifications and Skills for this Graduate Structural Engineering role:

  • A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 3-4 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably in building design.
  • Strong understanding of structural analysis and design software (e.g., Tekla, AutoCAD, Revit, or similar).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
