Job Title: Business Development Manager Location: Essex & HertfordshireSalary: £45,000 - £50,000 (depending on experience)Term: PermanentHours: Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm RecruitAbility is looking for a tenacious Business Development Manager with a hunter mentality to drive new business and expand our client’s business base. This role is ideal for someone with maturity, gravitas, and a strong track record in financial services or mortgages. With a mix of office and field-based work, you’ll be responsible for developing relationships, securing new business, and ultimately contributing to the company’s growth. For the right candidate, this role has the potential to evolve into a Head of Sales position, within the company. The Role of Business Development Manager:
  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities, generating leads and closing deals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and potential clients.
  • Attend face-to-face meetings with prospects (3 days per week on the road).
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets.
  • Negotiate contracts and commercial terms to drive revenue growth.
To be considered for the role of Business Development Manager:
  • Proven experience in business development or sales
  • A natural hunter – proactive, self-motivated and results-driven
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers
  • Maturity and gravitas to deal with senior professionals
  • Ability to work autonomously with a strategic mindset
  • A full UK driving license
The Package for Business Development Manager:
  • Salary:  £45,000 - £50,000 (depending on experience)           
  • Hours:  Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm
  • Pension
  • 25 days holiday (excluding bank holidays)
  • Day off on your birthday
