Commercial Manager - Precision Engineering
Newly created opportunity with this large successful aerospace precision engineering company for an experienced Commercial Manager. The role handles all commercial aspects of this established company. This includes managing contracts, leading an estimating team, and contributing to new business development.
There is a possibility that this role could be offered on a part time basis for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to customer contractual requirements and regulations.
- Oversee the commercial performance of customer accounts on a daily basis.
- Act as the primary contact for customers on commercial matters.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers.
- Regularly communicate with clients to manage expectations and conduct review meetings.
- Implement a process to evaluate and direct bid activity.
- Lead a team of estimators to ensure timely and accurate pricing.
- Ensure all necessary data, drawings, and models are provided before quoting.
- Work with Estimators and Procurement to ensure timely material and subcontractor pricing.
- Complete bid package compliance paperwork according to RFP/RFQ instructions.
- Manage the contract review process, ensuring accurate pricing, lead times, and terms and conditions.
- Review NDAs, LTAs, and contracts to identify potential risks.
- Negotiate customer terms and conditions before signing or resolving disputes.
- Maintain secure electronic records in compliance with data protection regulations.
- Perform tasks as directed by the company within your skills and capabilities.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Strong workflow management skills.
- Solid understanding of contract law.
- Proven experience in people management and leadership.
- Experience in costing work packages.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and business systems.
