Leading provider of cutting-edge solutions in the vehicle lighting solutions sector is currently seeking a skilled Service Engineer to join our dedicated team.As a Service Engineer you will play a crucial role in ensuring the satisfaction and success to all customers. Your duties will be split between being based in the office and visiting customers across the UK

When based in the office you will provide top-notch technical support including specifying products for customers, designing lighting kits, repairing trailers, addressing warranty issues, and conducting training sessions.

When on the road, visiting customers, you will be focusing on electro-mechanical fault finding, troubleshoot and fix product issues at customer locations across the UK.

Your ability to effectively communicate and resolve issues will be key in maintaining excellent customer relationships. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to travel as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to customers via phone, email, and chat, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.
  • Conduct on-the-road service visits to client sites for installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment.
  • Perform electro-mechanical fault finding, identifying and resolving technical issues efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of service calls, issues, and resolutions.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to improve service quality and support future product development.
  • Develop strong relationships with customers by offering exceptional service and support.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements to provide the best solutions to our clients.
  • Training given.

Requirements:

  • Experience in providing technical support through various channels (phone, email, chat).
  • Proven experience in on-the-road service and client interaction.
  • Strong electro-mechanical fault-finding skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Valid full UK driver's license and willingness to travel as required.
  • Must be over 25 years old due motor insurance requirements.
  • Any knowledge of vehicle electrical or lighting systems is beneficial.
