Your role as an Audit ManagerThis role goes beyond managing audits. You'll be a key player in supporting client growth and driving the team's success. Expect to:

  • Oversee your own client portfolio, managing workflow, WIP, and billing.
  • Delegate and review audit, accounts, and tax compliance tasks, providing detailed feedback to team members.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Engage in business development activities, including attending networking and marketing events, pitching for new work, and preparing tender documents.
  • Support the team in wider responsibilities, such as recruitment, mentoring, and marketing initiatives.

What you'll need to succeed as an Audit Manager

  • A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, ICAS, or CA) and experience managing a portfolio of clients.
  • Proven people management skills with the ability to lead and mentor a team effectively.
  • Strong time management and organisational abilities to balance multiple priorities.
  • A commercial mindset and dedication to client development.
  • Familiarity with audit software (e.g., Caseware) and Microsoft Office tools.
