Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Paraplanner to join our client’s dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting financial advisers by preparing detailed reports, conducting research, and ensuring that clients receive the highest level of service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report Preparation: Produce comprehensive and compliant financial reports and suitability letters.
  • Research: Conduct detailed research on financial products and investment opportunities.
  • Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates on report timelines.
  • Technical Support: Serve as a point of contact for technical queries from advisers and client service teams.
  • Review and Analysis: Analyse client information, existing investments, and financial plans.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with advisers and other team members to develop and implement financial strategies.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, templates, and tools.
  • Training and Development: Participate in training programs to enhance your skills and support the development of junior team members.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience in a paraplanning role within an independent financial advisory firm.
  • Education: Relevant financial planning qualifications (e.g., Diploma in Financial Planning, or working towards Chartered status).
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of financial products, tax calculations (IHT/CGT/bonds), and cashflow modelling.
  • Technology: Proficiency with financial planning software and Microsoft Office Suite.
