Groundworks Supervisor

Job Overview
Excellent opportunity to join a leading Civils and Groundworks Contractor working on a wide range of civils civils and groundworks projects throughout the surrounding area. Schemes w with comes with extensive deep drainage, groundworks, highways, hard landscaping and 278 works.

Projects include: schools, hospitals, distribution centres, student accommodation, warehouses, retail.

Duties will include:

• Delivery of the contract within programme and budget.
• Be prepared to work hands on when required.
• Control and management of sub contract resources to the highest levels of safety, quality and efficiency.
• The continuous monitoring of contract progress to ensure contract objectives are being met.
• Ensuring that, in conjunction with the Project Delivery Team, changes to the contract are identified, agreed and effectively managed.

Must have:

• Valid SMSTS/SSSTS
• CSCS Card
• Groundworks and civils experience.
• NWSRA (advantage)

Duties
- Carry out groundworks including excavation, drainage installation, and site preparation.
- Supervise and manage a team of workers to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on-site.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
- Liaise with project managers to report progress and address any issues that arise during the project.
- Assist in training new staff members in safe working practices and operational procedures.

Requirements
- Proven experience in groundworks or a related field is essential.
- Strong supervisory skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to construction sites.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A valid driver's licence may be required for site travel.
