Platen Operator

Location: Bishops Stortford

Salary: Depending on Platen Industry Experience - Up to £35k

Hours: 06.45 - 18.45 (on a rotating basis): Week 1: Monday Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday Week 2: Wednesday Thursday Friday

Company: Global leading organisation serving indoor, outdoor and online markets.

Role: Responsible for setting up and running platens to produce finished materials.

Handling of large cutting forms and various types of materials
Adhering to health and safety regulations
Setting and operating platen machines
Complete paperwork accurately
Complete daily machine checks sheets and any faults are to be advised to your supervisor,
Always follow the Quality Control process and perform random quality checks to ensure consistency,
Take responsibility to report any issues or unsafe working practices and follow the correct procedures

Requirements:

Experience operating hand fed platens up to 3 x 1.8
Worked with all materials particularly in POS
You will understand Health and Safety practices
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work on your own initiative
Proven experience of working in a manufacturing surrounding
