AJ Chambers is working with a regional, top 150 law firm in Bishop's Stortford that is currently recruiting for a Dispute Resolution Lawyer to focus on education law.

Key aspects:

  • Acting for a mix of students, parents, and educational institutions, from obtaining initial instructions through to achieving a resolution to the dispute.
  • Maintaining own caseload, obtaining appropriate guidance from Senior Lawyers when required.
  • Maintaining regular billing of client files where appropriate.
  • Undertaking advocacy, when cost effective, at all interlocutory stages.
  • Supporting the senior members of the team in their caseloads, including running their cases during periods of absence.
  • Working alongside junior members of the team, including paralegals, to ensure adequate supervision on own case load, and work carried out at an appropriate fee rate for the client
  • Regularly attending networking events and assisting in building up the profile of the firm and in particular, the Department and specialism.
  • Undertaking any other reasonable duties from time to time allocated to the role.
