Job Title: Vehicle Distribution SupervisorLocation: Takeley, EssexSalary:  £27,000.00-£28,000.00 per yearTerm: Permanent Job Description As distribution Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day allocation, and deallocation of all group vehicles, exceptional planning for what is due to come off the fleet combined with the knowledge of all new fleet additions is required to keep vehicle downtime to a minimum. Licencing planning for the new vehicles is also key as this will ensure vehicles are fully utilised whilst owned by the group.Management skills are paramount for success planning and organising within the team.  Responsibilities
  • Manage and monitor the inventory of all group vehicles from those due in to those being pulled off the fleet.
  • Coordinate with the disposal team to ensure they are aware of what is being taken off the road to sell and when in line with the company expectations of vehicles to place up for sale which is currently circa 400 a month that need swapping out.
  • Liaise with all group areas insuring they know what is due off, heading there way and available for additions when required.
  • Manage daily workflow to ensure prompt efficient turnaround of all vehicles.
  • Manage daily staff and driver levels required to complete the daily work.
  • Ensure the inhouse systems content, ensuring it is accurate and up to date along with any visual management boards.
  • Send out a month in advance the report of what is due to come off the fleet the following month to all areas.
  • Ensure all new vehicles that are collected in person have an adequate handover and that they are licenced for the vehicle being collected.
  • Ensure there is adequate procedures in place for the prevention of losing keys.
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by promptly responding to new vehicle requests.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations of staff and provide coaching and training as needed.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  • Search for unallocated vehicles in all areas when looking for vehicle
 Skills and experience required for Vehicle Distribution Supervisor:
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Previous management experience 
  • Excellent excel skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • First class computer skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Clean, full driving License
