We are looking for a dedicated Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) to join our dynamic team and help us maintain our high standards of patient care on a Full time- 10:00-18:30.


The ideal candidate needs to be a proactive and motivated, an individual with excellent communication and customer service skills. A professional who adheres to GPHC guidelines is vital.


Roles & Responsibilities:


  • Perform final accuracy checks on prescriptions dispensed by pharmacy staff.
  • Ensure that all prescriptions are dispensed accurately and in accordance with legal and professional requirements.
  • Identify and rectify any discrepancies or errors in the dispensing process.
  • Assist in the training and development of pharmacy staff in best practices for dispensing and accuracy checking.
  • Maintain accurate records of all accuracy checks performed.
  • Problem solving - liaising with Lead pharmacist and other healthcare professionals to resolve any issues related to prescriptions.
  • Dispensing.
  • Stock management.
  • End of month checks.
  • Accuracy Checking acute medication.

Qualifications and Skills:


  • NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent.
  • Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a Pharmacy Technician.
  • Accredited Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician qualification.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a community or hospital pharmacy setting.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively and motivate the team.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development
