About the Role:
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in supporting the commercial team across various new build housing developments. Working closely with experienced surveyors and project managers, you'll gain valuable hands-on experience and develop your skills on large-scale residential projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and final accounts for new build housing projects.
- Support in the procurement and management of subcontractors and suppliers.
- Help monitor and control project costs to ensure budgets are adhered to.
- Attend site meetings and liaise with the project teams to address any commercial issues.
- Prepare and maintain cost reports and assist in the preparation of tender documents.
What We're Looking For:
- A relevant degree in Quantity Surveying (or similar).
- Some experience in Quantity Surveying, preferably within the residential sector.
- Strong communication skills and an ability to work well within a team.
- Motivated to learn and progress in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of relevant construction and financial software would be beneficial.
