We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Orders Processing / Showroom/Customer Service Assistant to join our clients thriving business located in Takeley. They have been trading for over 38 years both as an online/mail order company and as a shop. You will need to be friendly, smart, flexible and helpful and have an excellent telephone manner. Apart from assisting in the showroom, you will be answering the telephone where you will take orders and answer product queries. Experience with purchase orders is an advantage. You must also be computer literate, and any sales experience would be an advantage but not essential. The role will also require the right candidate to do some heavy lifting of orders onto the delivery van.
The Role of the Showroom/Customer Service Assistant
- Liaising with customers in all areas of sales
- Processing incoming orders
- Processing payments of various kinds
- Offering advice
- Ensuring each customer receives outstanding service which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer
- Be prepared to help as required in the warehouse
- Participate in year-end inventory and stock counts
- Any other tasks as asked from time to time by the Directors
To be considered for the role of Showroom/Customer Service Assistant
- You must be computer literate
- Customer service experience
- Ability to carry out heavy lifting of orders
- Retail experience would be preferable but not essential
- "Can do" attitude
The package for the role of Showroom/Customer Service Assistant
- Basic salary: £26,000 - £28,000 pa
- Hours: Monday - Friday 8.30 am - 5.30 pm
- 20 days holiday + bank holidays
