Supported Housing Officer VacancyAn established charitable organisation is currently looking to recruit a Supported Housing Officer based in the Bishop’s Stortford area on a 6 month contract.

Location: Bishop’s StortfordHours: 37.5 per weekShifts: Shifts will be a mix of 8am-4pm, 10am-6pm and 12-9pm and working one weekend in 4Pay: Up to £16 per hour umbrellaDuration: 6 month contract (potential for permanent work)Supported Housing Officer – The role involves:• Manage a case load of young service users • Deliver emotional and life skills based support, assisting service users with day to day tasks• Complete support plans and risk assessments with the service users• Enforce tenancy conditions in line with procedures including low level anti social behaviour and rent arrears• Offer specialist knowledge and insight into rent arrears helping tenants with budgeting• Carry out regular estate inspections• Offer advice and assistance to tenants regarding their benefit entitlements• Provide support and advice to tenants in relation to issues concerning their tenancies • Manage void properties to ensure the quickest re-let times including carrying out viewings and sign-upsAdditional requirements:• Experience of providing tenancy support to vulnerable people, particularly homeless client groups• An enhanced DBS check from within the last 3 years or willingness to obtain• Excellent communication skills and basic IT skills are essentialTo secure an interview for this excellent opportunity contact Charley Payne by email as soon as possible.
