We are seeking a Warehouse Operative to join a growing company near Bishop's Stortford with a strong focus on company culture.
The role involves checking goods-in, operating forklifts, loading and unloading vehicles, and routine stock checking.
Candidates should have experience in standard warehousing practices, a fast-paced environment, and safe loading/unloading of vehicles.
A counterbalance forklift license is advantageous, and a driving license is essential for this position.
The salary for this role is £26,500, and candidates should have relevant experience in warehousing.

We are looking for a Warehouse Operative to join an excellent client of ours based just outside of Bishop’s Stortford.

The Job:

Summary: Checking of goods-in, general housekeeping, forklift operation, production of goods to be dispatched, loading and unloading of vehicles, routine stock checking.

To work within a team to check-in all goods received.
To assist in the production of plant displays ready for dispatch to clients.
To assist with loading and unloading of vehicles including use of counterbalance forklift.
Participate in ensuring a high standard of housekeeping.
Work with the team on stock put away.
Participate in regular stock checks.
Rigidly adhere to company H&S policies.
Occasional support driving 3.5tonne van (covering sickness & holiday).

The Candidate:

Experience of working to standard warehousing practices.
Experience of working in a fast-paced warehouse/production environment.
Experience of safe loading and unloading of vehicles.
Experience of stock checking, goods-in processes and quality checking.
Counterbalance Licence a distinct advantage.
Driving license (essential).
Able to follow required Health & Safety procedures
Able to work effectively as part of a team or on an individual basis.
Work to deadlines with continued accuracy and quality.
Keen eye for detail.

This role does involve heavy lifting and can be physically demanding, so please bear this in mind before applying.

In return, my client will be offering a salary of £26,500 with great benefits.

Working Hours: 8am - 5pm (Mon-Fri)
