Quantity Surveyor

Rate: 304.17 per day (umbrella)

A London Local Authority is seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join its Housing Services team. This role involves providing essential quantity surveying and commercial expertise for the Capital Programme. Reporting directly to the Senior Quantity Surveyors, you will play a pivotal role in managing the financial administration of allocated tasks, ensuring delivery within budget, and supporting income recovery from leaseholders and third parties.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide financial and commercial oversight for the Capital Programme tasks.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate financial reports, forecasts, and valuations.
  • Collaborate with Service Providers to deliver value-for-money solutions.
  • Support leaseholder billing by producing accurate financial documentation.
  • Administer valuations, payments, and cost management for allocated tasks.
  • Develop and maintain robust systems and procedures for efficient task management.
  • Advise on contract variations, financial claims, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with contracts and statutory requirements, including leaseholder obligations.
  • Engage with stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain positive relationships.
  • Contribute to working groups to enhance processes and customer satisfaction.
