About the Role:

Join our Vehicle Safety Test Laboratories team as a Crash Test Engineer and play a critical role in ensuring the safety and performance of our automotive components, systems, and vehicles. In this role, you will conduct physical destructive testing to support Passive Safety targets, working with cutting-edge test equipment and data acquisition systems. Your work will contribute to engineering development, regulatory compliance, and industry-leading safety standards.

Key Responsibilities of Crash Test Engineer:

  • Conduct physical destructive testing on automotive components, systems, and full vehicles.
  • Interpret and apply passive safety regulations and requirements (FMVSS, ECE, etc.).
  • Operate modern test equipment, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems (e.g., force, displacement, acceleration).
  • Work closely with customers and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance.
  • Manage test processes from setup to completion, delivering detailed test reports on time.

Skills & Experience of Crash Test Engineer Required:

  • Physical testing experience in a laboratory setting.
  • Working knowledge of passive safety regulations (FMVSS, ECE).
  • Hands-on experience with instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Motorsport, Aerospace, Physics, or a related field.

Desirable Experience Crash Test Engineer:

  • Previous work in a vehicle safety test laboratory.
  • Experience with rigs, sleds, or whole vehicle crash testing.
