Continued client wins and a successfully growing team has provided the requirement for an Audit Senior to join this large accountancy firm in County Durham working with a mix of clients across the region.

We are seeking an Audit Senior either qualified or a finalist who is able to take ownership of their own portfolio of clients (both corporate and not for profit) under the guidance of an experienced management team. The role will foster your relationship skills as you develop client relations and become the first point of call for their queries. You will also play a pivotal part in delivering both revenue and profitability targets for the firm.

You will have responsibility for:

  • Completion of audit field work following planned substantive and analytical audit procedures working both remotely and on site
  • Planning and completion of audit assignments, ensuring audit files have appropriate sufficient? documentation
  • Preparation of statutory financial statements from client data, highlighting high level risk areas or matters of concern to the Senior team
  • Planning the execution and finalisation of the audit assignments for Partner/Manager review

As an Audit Senior you will be ACA/ACCA/CA qualified or finalist with the equivalent experience with a working knowledge of IFRS and UKGAAP. We are looking for an individual who has UK audit experience and a right to work in the UK. Training and development features highly as a value to this firm and as such your progression will be encouraged to Assistant Manager, Manager and beyond. Similarly you will happily support the development of more juniors in the team by providing mentor support.
