Reed Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be working with a reputable business in County Durham who are looking to recruit an experienced Financial Controller on a part time basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Modelling & Forecasting: Develop and maintain a 13-week forecast, focusing on future financial planning.
- Budget Setting: Utilise existing macro models to set and manage budgets effectively.
- Staff Management: Supervise and manage a team of 2 staff members.
- Management Accounts: Prepare and oversee management accounts.
- Reconciliation Controls: Implement and maintain robust reconciliation controls due to the nature of our business.
- Financial Transactions: Capture money from various sources and ensure timely payments to multiple recipients.
- Excel Proficiency: Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including essential knowledge of Macros.
- Payroll Management: Handle payroll processes efficiently.
- VAT Returns: Prepare and submit VAT returns accurately.
- Strategic Input: Provide meaningful input in running the business, with the ability to think forward.
Qualifications:
- Ideally fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role.
- Strong analytical and forecasting skills.
- Excellent knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Excel, including Macros.
- Experience in payroll and VAT returns.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
