One of the top 10 construction businesses in Canada, working on major building projects of c£30m to £200m, are looking to recruit UK Commercial Managers for their business in Toronto.

From a relocation perspective, the good news is that this company has been recruiting from the UK for 15-20+ years, so they are experienced in handling the visa/work permit process and in making the transition as smooth as possible for you/any family.

They will also provide financial support to assist with any relocation.

The role of Estimating Manager will be responsible for overseeing a portion of the estimating operations within a larger business unit, and leads estimating process by developing divisional manpower, coaching / mentoring, providing input into project pursuit approvals, overseeing allocation of estimating resources, reviewing estimates, and managing tender closings / pursuit submissions. The incumbent maintains strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal managerial leadership, and has a thorough understanding of the company’s objectives.

In order to be successful, you will have a related diploma or degree at a college or technical school. Gold Seal Certified, LEED Accredited, LEAN experience, MRICS, and CIQS are all assets. 15+ years of a combination of construction project management and estimating experience. Experience with different procurement methods. Ability to collaborate with operations, different business units, internal and external clients, and thorough understanding of most contracts.
