One of the top 10 construction businesses in Canada, working on major building projects of c£30m to £200m, are looking to recruit UK Commercial Managers for their business in Toronto.

From a relocation perspective, the good news is that this company has been recruiting from the UK for 15-20+ years, so they are experienced in handling the visa/work permit process and in making the transition as smooth as possible for you/any family.
They will also provide financial support to assist with any relocation.
The role of Senior Design Manager is responsible for contributing to the development of the Design team while ensuring procedures and best practices are followed. The incumbent manages and provides input into the design process with respect to initial strategy and developing the overarching design philosophy and is accountable for ensuring the Design team is meeting compliance and contractual obligations, as well as identifying, managing, and mitigating risk. This includes meeting with the owner or other stakeholders to advance the design in compliance with the contract requirements and chairing the meetings with the Design team and the owner.
To be successful you will have:
- Degree in Architecture or Engineering or related degree or diploma.
- LEED, PMP, and P. Eng designations are
- 15 + years of construction related experience.
- Minimum 5 years working as a Design Manager on design build projects of similar
- Experience working on Level 3 projects at a
- Experience managing at least 2-3
- Experience with projects in the relevant
- Experience working for a design builder on design build procurement
- Strong negotiating
- Proficiency using MS Office Suite and BIM software
- Working knowledge of Navisworks (3D and 4D) and REVIT (extract data, open models).
