MTrec Technical are proudly representing our prestigious Engineering client, based in County Durham, with their plans for growth and expansion, by recruiting a permanent Calibration Repair Engineer to join their team. This is a static role, where you will be part of a specialist team responsible for repairs, calibration and adjustment of a wide range of test and measurement equipment. The Job You’ll Do;

• To repair units to component level

• To provide detailed calibration certificates

• To source equipment specifications when necessary

• To look at ways of improving test techniques and increasing parameters.

• To maintain high quality levels throughout

• To provide the administration team with timely data

• To maintain and safeguard the integrity of test equipment and company standards.

• To maintain turn round times to a minimum level

• To keep a tidy and well-ordered environment

• Repair and calibrate a wide range of multi-parameter test equipment from a range of industry sectors

• Enter data correctly and update the job progression system

• Ensure customers’ requirements are met

• Provide certificate details when calibration complete.

• Accurately recording personal activity against KPI’s.

About You;

• HNC in electrical/electronic minimum or a similar discipline or demonstrable qualification through experience

• Experience within the Instrumentation Industry or previous repair experience in an electrical electronic role.

• Must be able to repair to component level

• Must be able to read circuit diagrams

• Must have good soldering ability

• Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office.

• Sound mathematical knowledge.

• Knowledge of quality standards/systems

• Good interpersonal skills.

• Willing to listen, learn and improve.

• Display adaptability and flexibility to learn new tasks as required by the needs of the business.

• Prioritise and manage time effectively
