We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Engineer to join our client’s team. You will be responsible for overseeing electrical engineering projects, ensuring safety, maintaining electrical systems, and supporting the Engineering Manager.

This role is crucial for managing both high-level breakdowns and the introduction of new machines and processes within their facility.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Oversee the implementation of Safe Systems of Work and conduct Statutory Inspections throughout the plant.
  • Supervise the management of all electrical systems, including distribution boards.
  • Diagnose and repair machinery during critical breakdowns, and act as a stand-in for the Engineering Manager when required.
  • Spearhead project management initiatives to deploy new machinery and streamline processes.
  • Construct and upkeep electrical panels.
  • Act as the Engineering department's representative in daily production meetings.
  • Coordinate or support the management of a comprehensive Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) schedule, encompassing Reactive, Preventive, and Predictive Maintenance.
  • Oversee the maintenance of the Electrical Condition Report.
  • Develop and sustain the ATEX register.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • IOSH or NEBOSH Safety qualifications are advantageous.
  • Strong electrical skills with some mechanical knowledge.
  • Experience in working with and managing contractors.
  • Must have at least a 17th edition electrical certification.
  • HNC in Electrical Engineering.
  • Automation background, Solidworks/CAD drawing skills, and PLC skills are advantageous.
