The focus is on creating personalised learning experiences that combine vocational and academic pathways, supporting young people in gaining the skills necessary for apprenticeships, employment, or further education.Role Overview: Vocational TutorAs a Vocational Tutor, you will have the opportunity to support learners in developing their knowledge and skills, helping them access appropriate training and employment opportunities. This role involves teaching Employability, Customer Service, and Warehousing and Storage to learners aged 16 to 19 (up to 24 with an EHCP). You will be supported by the Curriculum and Learning Lead, who is responsible for driving quality, meeting KPIs, and fostering continuous improvement.Main Duties and Responsibilities of the Employability Tutor:• Delivering Employability, Customer Service, and Warehousing and Storage.• Leading the production of schemes of work for service delivery.• Preparing and developing innovative lesson plans, group activities, and individualised instruction.• Providing one-to-one support to learners when necessary.• Helping learners achieve their goals through tailored support.Qualifications and Experience required for the Employability Tutor:We are looking for candidates who demonstrate:• A professional qualification relevant to the area of instruction (L3 or above) within Health and Social Care, Management, or similar.• A relevant teaching qualification (Degree, PGCE, or equivalent).• Experience of teaching in an alternative provision environment or experience with EAL, SEN, or other complex needs.• Experience working with disengaged or hard-to-reach young people aged 14 to 19 years old.• The ability to motivate and encourage learners with high expectations of behaviour and achievement.Additional Information:• Salary: £22,307.55 - £31,601.10 pro-rata, depending on experience (based on £24,961 - £35,360 FTE per annum).• Hours of work: Full-time, 37 hours per week (negotiable).• Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only (41 weeks).• Access to a car and a full driving licence is required for this role.If you’re passionate about making a difference and supporting young people in their educational journey, we’d love to hear from you!
