Reed FE are partnered with an FE College in Durham, Northeast who are seeking a dedicated and self-motivated Lecturer in Physics to join their team on a full-time permanent basis, working 36 hours per week. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a passion for education and physics to contribute to the academic journey of students.

Day to Day of the Role:
  • Deliver high-quality teaching in Physics, including preparation, assessment, and evaluation.
  • Maintain professional standards in the delivery of teaching programmes.
  • Coordinate and administer responsibilities associated with course leadership and programme promotion.
  • Engage with students aged 16-19+ and contribute to their academic and personal development.
  • Manage workload efficiently, meeting deadlines and upholding the college’s educational standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Level 6 or above teaching qualification (Cert Ed/PGCE) or willingness to work towards it.
  • Minimum of Level 6 qualification in Physics or a closely related discipline.
  • Experience in delivering to a diverse range of learners, particularly those aged 16-19+.
  • Proven success in teaching A Level Physics or Applied Science at Level 3.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver good and better teaching outcomes.
  • Effective workload management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Suitability to work with children and/or vulnerable adults.
