With an ambitious growth strategy and a commitment to professional development, the firm offers an ideal platform for an experienced leader to make a lasting impact.The Role:The firm is now looking for a highly skilled and experienced individual to lead its Residential Conveyancing Department. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of the department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality service to clients while managing a team of lawyers and support staff. This is a senior role that requires strong leadership skills, in-depth knowledge of residential property law, and a strategic mindset to drive the continued success and growth of the department.Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Management:Lead and manage the Residential Conveyancing Department, providing clear direction, mentoring, and support to a team of lawyers and support staff. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting professional growth and ensuring efficient department operations. Serve as the SRO for the CQS accreditation and oversee the annual re-accreditation process. Work with the firm’s management team to align departmental goals with the broader strategic vision of the firm.
  • Client Services:Ensure the team delivers high-quality service to clients, handling complex and high-value residential property transactions. Maintain and enhance client relationships, providing expert legal advice and guidance throughout the conveyancing process. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and best practices to maintain the firm’s excellent reputation.
  • Business Development:Drive the growth of the Residential Conveyancing Department by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to promote the department’s services and attract new clients. Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including estate agents, mortgage brokers, and other professionals in the property industry. Represent the firm at networking events, seminars, and conferences to raise the department’s profile.
  • Operational Efficiency:Oversee the efficient management of caseloads, workflows, and departmental KPIs. Implement technology and software solutions to streamline processes and improve overall departmental efficiency.
Skills & Experience:
  • A qualified lawyer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in residential conveyancing.
  • Proven track record in a senior role.
  • In-depth knowledge of residential property law and conveyancing procedures.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with a focus on mentoring and developing a high-performing team.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and external stakeholders.
