On behalf of our Public Sector, Panoramic Associates are seeking an experienced Construction Procurement Specialist, to start in the new year.

My client is seeking an individual with a collaborative approach, who can hit the ground running and support the procurement team in a time of major transformation on some big, upcoming projects in the construction category. The right individual will ensure compliance with regulations and legislation and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. This role will suit an individual who takes a hands-on approach to tendering.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure business needs and expectations are met or exceeded, whilst maintaining strong stakeholder relationships
  • Plan and develop Procurement options ensuring timescales and objectives are met
  • Manage multiple high-value, often complex, procurement projects at a time
  • Support the negotiation of contracts
  • Provide procurement and commercial advice that aligns with public sector legislation and regulations
  • Support the collection of market intelligence and undertake focused spend analysis

Essential Criteria:

  • CIPS, or above, qualification
  • Construction procurement experience (JCT, NEC contract experience)
  • Experience with complex, high-value capital projects
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, specifically internal stakeholder management.
  • Contract negotiation and management skills
  • Knowledge and experience working in line with relevant laws and regulations in the public sector

Desirable Criteria:

  • Project management
  • Experience in supporting or leading change management within the procurement field.
