Assistant Quantity SurveyorBasic salary between £26000 and £28000This is a great opportunity to join an award-winning manufacturing and construction company based in the North East.As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will be a key member of the project team, responsible for managing aspects of the commercial and contractual activities on the assigned sections of the project. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring the project's financial success and delivering it to the highest standards of quality, within budget and on schedule.
The Job:
- Preparation and submission of valuations.
- Preparation of accurate take offs from drawings.
- Pricing of contract variations.
- Preparation of subcontractor payment certificates.
- Control of supply chain ensuring full visibility of liabilities.
- Issue of subcontract enquiries, compare quotes, undertake negotiations and place comprehensive orders.
- Site visits to assess progress against plan (When required).
- General administration duties within the Quantity Surveying Department.
- Setting up and inputting data to standard spreadsheets for Cost Value Reconciliation.
- Monthly valuations.
- Liaising with the main Contractor's QS for certification and instructions.
The Person:
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a similar financial discipline desirable but not essential.
