Immediate聽need for a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our client's team in the North East of England to assist on a range of schemes and projects on a long term basis.

You will manage projects of various sizes ensuring clear and accurate budgets are produced. You will have an effective relationship with both clients and internal departments to ensure the contract is completed聽within its projected budget.
聽
We require you to be an experienced Quantity Surveyor with experience and background covering National Highways projects and schemes. Ideally experience with the National Highways SDF would be advantageous, it not then exposure to schemes from a major highways point of view.

Duties include:
聽
路Supporting the Commercial Director/Commercial Manager in developing and implementing the businesses commercial strategy within your projects & projecting the organisations ethos
路Assist with developing of, implementation and adherence to the business commercial strategy.
路Expectation to manage multiple projects of varying sizes and complexities
路Ensure that clear and accurate budgets are done at tender award and then monthly per project
路Procurement of works to meet and exceed programme and ideally tender budgets.
路Preparation of sub-contract documents for tendering.
路Management of client and subcontractor accounts
路Weekly review and analysis of programme, progress and cost monitoring.
路Change control management.
路Risk & opportunity management
路Financial monitoring and reporting and liaising with the project team.
路Development and Agreement of Project Forecasts with Operational teams
路Detailed commercial analysis of various outputs.
路Commercial support on tenders.
路Submission of monthly application for payments
路Following approved work procedures
路Development and training of junior team members
