We are seeking a skilled and reliable Electrical Fitter to join our ongoing modification programme on ScotRail HST coaches at the Cadder depot, located just north of Glasgow. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a vital rail project, with a minimum commitment of 40 hours per week (most workers are averaging 45 hours). The contract runs until the end of the year.
Role Details:
Location: Cadder depot, north of Glasgow
Hours: Minimum 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract Length: Until the end of the year
Rate: Approx 26 - 28 per hour (umbrella) DOE, PAYE options also available.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform electrical modifications on trains, including:
Relaying wires
Changing lighting systems
Conducting electrical repairs on doors
Occasional general fitting tasks as required
Candidate Requirements:
Experience: Preferably from a rolling stock background
Qualifications: Must have a strong electrical background with relevant qualifications
Location: Ideally living close to the depot near Glasgow.
Reliability: Essential, as maintaining consistency in the workforce is a priority
