Teaching Assistant | Leicester, LE8 | 95-105 | Long-term to perm | ASAP

Long term futures is proud to offer this opportunity at a lovely SEMH school in Leicester, LE8. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Teaching assistant who has experience working with ASD/ADHD/SEN. In this role you will be responsible for supporting children's behaviour and classroom learning, you will be working with children with complex needs.

Your role as a teaching assistant may include.

  • Supporting children's behaviour, helping nurturing SEN/SEMH children to their full potential.
  • Monitor student progress, ensuring they are meeting their goals and reporting concerns.
  • Helping children understand teachers instructions - assist with personalised learning plans to ensure students individual needs are met.
  • Support students with their personal care and daily routines, always ensuring dignity and safety
  • Work with the class teacher, SENCo, and other support staff to develop and implement effective strategies for student progress

Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience working with SEN/SEMH students
  • Previous experience with a 1:1 role
  • Strong Communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with students.
  • Must have a patient and caring method of teaching to deal with children who have complex needs.
